Announcements

In 2009 we heard from you and the results from the survey led the board to conclude that we need a place for community interaction and additional space for library programs, a place for our ever increasing population of homeschool and teenage users, a dedicated computer lab, areas for quiet work and study, and additional area for materials. The WWPL Board of Trustees voted at the February 2012 board meeting to move forward with a renovation, space reallocation and addition to the existing facility. [Learn more...]

Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the Westfield Washington Public Library was able to purchase two new internet computer stations for our Children's Department. They are loaded with educational games and a child-friendly, safe internet browser. This internet browser software is available to our patrons to install on their home computers. We will also be conducting a program to teach children how to make safe decisions online. [Learn more...]

Did you know that Evergreen cards expire every two years? We joined the Evergreen system in October of 2009 which means a lot of cards are now expired. If you are having trouble logging into your account online, you may need to renew your card. We just need to verify that all of your information is correct, which you can do over the phone or next time you are here in person.

Evergreen email notices are a courtesy and delivery is not guaranteed. Not receiving email notices will not result in waived fines. Due dates are printed on checkout receipts and available in your account in the online catalog. You may also call the during library hours and ask staff when your items are due or to renew them for you so that you do not incur fines.

The Evergreen Library Consortium has an automated calling system that will contact you when you have a hold available for pickup (if you have elected to be contacted via phone). Email hold notices will continue as usual. You can stop by the Circulation Desk to update your contact information but you must login to your Evergreen account to update your contact preference.
